In 1991 the first New Song church was planted in the city Hellevoetsluis. In those days it was unusual that churches were started by Antillean church planters.New Song shows once more the pioneers' spirit. The economical and financial situation in the following years became very bad and many islanders chose to move from the Netherlands Antilles to their ''motherland'' Holland as the Netherlands Antilles still are part of the Dutch Kingdom. So, once in Holland the Antillean people had a place to go, where they could gather and have fellowship in their own language; the church offered and still offers this possibility. There is no doubt that Papie was lead and inspired by the almighty God. New Song is not only a church, but more than that!
